This website provides access to the TRedD database and to software for locating tandem repeats within DNA sequences. Currently, the database contains all of the tandem repeats (over the edit distance) found in the genome of homo sapiens. Follow the View Database link above to begin viewing results. We have new software called TandemGraph to graphically depict the tandem repeats in each chromosome to facilitate analysis.
To run the TRed software on relatively small sequences (up to 2MB) you can follow the Run Program link above. For larger sequences, you may download the software. Parameters are set at default values, but may be changed accordingly. Follow the About link for a detailed description of Input/Output and of the theoretical algorithm.
